Online speculation surrounding Baron Geisler surfaced after his wife, Jamie Evangelista, appeared to publicly urge the actor to seek a sponsor for 'drug rehabilitation' through a now-deleted Instagram comment.
Jamie commented on Baron's recent collaborative Instagram post with an aesthetic clinic, which featured the actor undergoing a facial treatment. Although the comment has since been deleted, screenshots quickly spread across social media and were also reported by several local media outlets.
In her remark, Jamie wrote: “Find a drug rehabilitation sponsor who can help you address the root cause of your problems. I doubt a facial can heal that.”

Jamie also shared a series of cryptic posts on her Instagram Stories, where she tagged Baron alongside quotes about accountability and personal growth.
One quote read: “No one plays the victim better than the one who caused the damage," while another stated, “A person’s capacity to change their life is directly linked to how much truth they can face about themselves without running away.”
The statements immediately sparked concern among netizens, especially since Baron has been open in the past about his struggles with drug and alcohol abuse. Some online users speculated that the actor may have experienced a relapse, although no confirmation has been made.
Despite the online buzz, the couple still follow each other on Instagram. Photos of one another, including family pictures, also remain on their respective social media accounts as of writing.
The latest development comes a year after Baron openly reflected on his long battle with substance abuse.
In a July 2025 interview with broadcaster Luchi Cruz-Valdes, the actor candidly spoke about his childhood, sharing how feelings of insecurity, his environment, and early exposure to drugs and alcohol contributed to his addiction.
“I started drugs and alcohol at a very young age 12, 13 [or] 14. At 14, I was doing hard core drugs already…like meth. It’s because I wanted to grow up so fast,” he admitted.
“There was a lot of parental control, but because of that parental control — I think abuse and the hitting — I would sneak out and join older groups of people and I really enjoyed the noise,” he added.
Baron also confessed that there were instances when he would take drugs before performing and admitted he eventually became addicted to the sense of power and entitlement that came with his lifestyle.
“I got addicted to that power, to the entitlement which I am not proud of,” he said. “Now, it makes me sick remembering those times.”
Before the recent social media posts, Baron had credited Jamie, who is a psychologist, for helping him stay on the path to recovery.
Speaking with Bianca Gonzalez on TFC's BRGY last year, the actor described his wife as one of the biggest influences in his healing journey.
"Si Jamie very instrumental kasi dahil sa kanya grounded ako. Pagdating sa bahay hindi ako artista. Pagdating sa bahay ano ako, father, husband," he shared.
Baron also revealed that Jamie would gently point out behaviors whenever she noticed old patterns resurfacing.
"'Pag may nakikita siyang behaviors na bumabalik, tinatapik niya ako, kasi psychologist 'yan si misis so nakikita niya 'yung patterns ko," he said.
He added: "I am grateful na nandiyan siya to help me with everything. Taking care of the kids, our marriage, my life, my sobriety, and my career. And my relationship also with God."

Jamie also appeared in Baron's film The Delivery Rider, a project the actor said she joined out of love and support for their advocacy on autism awareness.
Baron and Jamie married in 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Talitha, in 2020.
As of writing, neither of them has released any further statement regarding the viral social media posts.
