“Multifaceted” is a powerful word befitting of “Blood vs Duty” characters, most notably articulated through Baron Geisler’s chilling and convincing portrayal of the unflinching and self-assertive Felix Domingo.
As one of Task Force Alpha’s highest-performing officers, Felix is exceptionally skilled at defeating enemies on his own, but his abilities escalate to deadly levels after he is revealed to be a henchman of Gen. Carillo (Bodjie Pascua), the powerful figure behind the illegal trafficking of firearms and rampant gun-related violence all over the country.
In this ABS-CBN Studios exclusive, Baron candidly speaks about the qualities he loves and hates about the cunning Felix.
LOVE: Felix’s smooth confidence is hard to miss
As an experienced Task Force Alpha operative, Felix naturally gained confidence in his abilities and expertise throughout the years of missions he succeeded in. This was especially witnessed during Task Force Alpha’s action-packed pursuit of Peklat’s (Ian Ignacio) small gun-smuggling group at a fishing port, where Felix was the only one with his gun relaxedly pointing down as the rest of his teammates stopped one of Peklat’s backers from fleeing using a truck.

Moreover, during the Metal 13 incident, instead of an intense interrogation, Felix only needed to wink and give a suspiciously charming smile to Tommy (Yves Flores), who then immediately shot himself to death. He feared that Felix would actually murder their mother if he were to remain alive and testify as to how Metal 13 received the illegal firearms.
LOVE: Felix’s persuasive side is his lethal strength
A villain becomes even more frightening once they master the art of persuasion, and Felix undoubtedly wields this as one of his ultimate strengths.
In matters of false grief and avoiding suspicion, despite Felix being the true murderer of Oliver (Geoff Eigenmann), Patrick (Antonio Aquitania), and Russel (Dino Imperial), he was able to feign sympathy for Oliver’s mourning family. Ironically, to complete his pretentious act, he made a promise to bring justice to his fallen colleagues by eliminating the killer, which was him all along.

More of Felix’s persuasion unfolded when he almost infiltrated Barangay Surga in search of the wanted Jalil (Gerald Anderson) and suppressed his disdain for Marcus (Richard Gutierrez), who was reinstated to SID and Task Force Alpha after going through a harsh suspension.
LOVE: Felix is highly dependable for his colleagues
At the beginning of the show, Felix’s identity as a dependable agent was palpable, especially when he covered for Marcus and threw him an extra gun in order to apprehend Peklat. However, this dependability was proven to be a double-edged sword, as Felix was unveiled as one of Gen. Carillo’s accomplices for his self-serving plans.

Felix would execute his unsettling missions in secret, delivering merciless deaths to those who would be a threat to their corrupted schemes.
HATE: Felix’s anger takes control of him
Anger is one thing that Felix finds difficult to deal with, remarkably shown in the scene where Felix furiously gazed at the big wounds on his chest after his altercation with Jalil at Isla Damai. Seconds later, he smashed the mirror and eerily laughed after, a foreshadowing of the cruel mask he often wears around others.
When faced with high-stakes missions, Felix is more likely to experience his violent impulses, leading him to commit murderous choices, especially when shooting a fleeing Jalil multiple times from the Dapayan Warehouse.

HATE: Felix’s resentment causes him greater suffering
Felix’s deep-seated resentment originated from his traumatic childhood, when he was constantly bullied by his classmates, ridiculed by his father’s drunken companions, and was abused by his father. With this in mind, Felix grew without the will to forgive and struggled to let go of things that hurt him since these are the ones fueling his rage, which he eventually weaponized to protect himself.
Shortly after taking the life of his father, Felix became a lone beggar on the streets, attacking other people to feed himself. Soon enough, a young Gen. Carillo came along to train him, giving Felix another opportunity at life, one which he defines as his calling.

HATE: Felix’s ideology of realism is dangerously flawed
Throughout Felix’s experiences, his perspective of reality is distorted. “Kung anong pinapaniwalaan niya, napaka-subjective,” Baron explained.
This was first noticed by viewers on the day of Task Force Alpha’s first meeting about arresting Datu Rahman, who was believed to be the person of interest involved in the rapidly advancing illegal gun-smuggling around the country. While Lara (Bela Padilla) was reminding Task Force Alpha to be careful of the presumed armed people at Isla Damai, Felix blatantly expressed for them to just “powderize” the so-called criminals.
Marcus repeatedly called out Felix’s problematic actions, especially during their return to Manila, when Marcus cannot restrain himself from punching Felix for breaking protocol by firing against Isla Damai’s residents. Felix only reasons that he did that to protect Task Force Alpha since they might have been overpowered first.

Ultimately, Felix strongly upholds Gen. Carillo’s beliefs for the greater good, likewise viewing casualties as mere stepping stones to a better future.
