Queenie Padilla, the eldest daughter of Robin Padilla with his ex-wife Liezl Sicangco, shared that she is officially divorced from her Pakistani husband, Usama Mir. In a Facebook post dated June 30, the celebrity daughter expressed how it took her a while to give an update about her personal life as it was a “conscious choice.”

She revealed that she has been divorced since last year, and it’s through divorce by faskh and not by talaq.

According to Presidential Decree No. 1083, divorce by faskh is a type of divorce granted by the court upon the wife's petition, while divorce by talaq is initiated by the husband.

“Alhamdulillah. I've reached a place in my life where my peace is absolute and my path is clear,” Queenie wrote.

She explained how she already closed the chapter two years ago but wanted to give her followers an update about her divorce with Usama.

“My silence was never confusion or weakness. It was a conscious choice to protect the life I've built since closing that chapter. I closed that chapter exactly 2 years ago,” she said.

“To be perfectly clear, that chapter is fully, finally, and irreversibly closed since October last year and finalized in December of the same year. To be more specific, it is not a talaq divorce; it is divorce by faskh with a condition that makes it impossible to remarry the ex-husband,” she added.

Queenie maintained that she is already at peace and there’s no going back for her as she only looks forward.

“I don't revisit the past because I'm simply not there anymore. My energy belongs entirely to what lies ahead my faith, my growth, and the quiet blessings of a heart that has let go completely. Please keep me in your du'as for my future, not my past,” she explained.

Although she has divorced, the celebrity daughter asserted that she is not promoting it to anyone, explaining that it was a last resort for her.

“I am not promoting divorce or encouraging it. It is a solution and THE LAST RESORT for couples who are incapable of giving each other mawaddah or rahmah. May Allah grant us all hearts that are content with His decree and give us a better future Ameen,” she ended.
