As she marks her 15th year in the entertainment industry, Kapamilya actress Belle Mariano is embracing a new phase in her life, taking a leap toward becoming a bolder, braver, and more independent version of herself.
Speaking with PUSH ABS-CBN at her launch as the cover artist of Cosmopolitan Philippines' June 2026 issue, Belle talked about moving into a new stage in life and embracing growth outside her comfort zone.
“I think becoming Belle means not being afraid to get out of your comfort zone and trying new things, and who knows, it might turn out into something very beautiful,” she said.
While she admitted that change can be intimidating, the actress shared that facing fear is an important part of moving forward.
“Well, of course, one is the people I’m around with. But also, at the same time, hindi mawawala yung fear na yan unless harapin mo ‘di ba? That’s the best first step to progress. So face your fears,” she said.
During the intimate press conference, Belle said the milestone came at the perfect time as she reflected on adulthood and personal growth.
“I just recently celebrated my birthday and I think it somehow symbolizes adulthood for me, and who Belle is becoming,” Belle said.
“As I enter adulthood, I spend more time with myself just to know my strengths and my weaknesses and it’s so beautiful to be able to do that, and to share it hopefully to the world to inspire young girls too,” she added.
Beyond celebrating her own journey, Belle hopes her latest magazine cover encourages women to embrace their individuality and become more confident in themselves.
“Hopefully, for every woman, I hope this cover somehow empowers you to not be afraid to be you,” she said. “To inspire them to not be afraid to be them. To inspire them to be more confident, and do not be afraid to just explore who you are and try new things too.”
Belle also celebrated her 24th birthday this month. Having recently fulfilled one of her childhood dreams of celebrating her birthday at Disneyland, the actress said she hopes for guidance as she enters a new year.
“You know wish ko magcelebrate ng birthday sa Disney, nagawa ko ‘yon, so yay! (So) since I’m entering a new chapter in my life, just guidance, more guidance and for beautiful things to unfold,” she told PUSH ABS-CBN.
Belle said the experience was her way of giving back to her younger self, adding that she hopes to visit every Disneyland park around the world in the future.
“I think it’s the kid in me. It’s always my dream to be able to celebrate my birthday at Disneyland. Hopefully next year, that’s my goal na kumpletuhin lahat ng Disneyland. Sana magawa ko iyon,” she expressed.
Belle also shared the message she would give to her younger self when she was just starting out.
“You're on your own, kid. I know it’s gonna be a scary ride. There will be times that you fall, you fail. But you’ll get back up and it’s gonna be okay,” she stated.
