Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto has fulfilled one of her lifelong goals by graduating from college at the age of 36.
On social media, Angeline shared the milestone with her family and the people who stood by her throughout her academic journey.
“Di pa rin makapaniwala
sa aking nakikita
lahat ng panalangin ko
ngayon may kasagutan 🎶🎶,” Angeline first wrote the lyrics from her hit song “Patuloy ang Pangarap.”
“Sa kabila ng puyat at pagod kasabay ng pagiging Nanay kay @sylvioandsylvia kasabay ng mga shows, music events out of town and out of the country, shoot ng series, kinaya 🙌,” she added.
Angeline dedicated the achievement to her husband, Nonrev Daquina, and their children, Sylvio and Sylvia, whom she described as her greatest source of inspiration.
“Maraming salamat sa Pamilya ko, Nonrev, Sylvio and Sylvia, kayo ang pinakamalaking inspirasyon ko.❤️ Salamat Mamu @katieleytly for always believing in me,” she said.
She also expressed her appreciation to the faculty of Immaculada Concepcion College for supporting her throughout her studies despite her hectic schedule.
“Sa mga Professors ko sa Immaculada Concepcion College, maraming salamat po sa pag gabay at pag iintindi 🙌.”
She also thanked her fans, adding: “To all my supporters, walang pinipiling edad ang pagtupad ng Pangarap❤️ Maraming salamat sa inyo.”
In the latter part of her message, Angeline honored her late mother, Mama Bob, whose dream of seeing her finish school became one of her driving motivations.
“And Mama… My angel in heaven, this is the moment I wish
l could share with you the most.🤍 I love you forever Ma🙏
All glory and honor to you, Lord🙌🙏 ,” she expressed.
According to ABS-CBN News, Angeline graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management from Immaculada Concepcion College in Caloocan City last Tuesday, June 16.
During her recent contract signing with One Music Management and Star Music, the singer revealed that she had kept her academic journey private, even from some members of her family, until she was close to graduation.
“Hindi alam ng family ko and asawa ko… Ang pagtupad ng pangarap walang pinipiling edad. Kahit wala na si Mama Bob, itinuloy ko pa rin pangarap,” she said.
“Noong time nagbubuntis ako sa pangalawang baby namin, pag buntis iba-iba moods. Noong time na ginagawa namin 'What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,' kasabay noon sumasagot ako ng modules,” she said.
Angeline also admitted that she struggled academically at times and even failed some subjects, but she remained determined to finish what she had started.
“May time na bumagsak ako. Nagmamakaawa ako sa profs ko para pabalikin ako sa school… Salamat sa professors ko. Ang dami ko pinagsabay-sabay ng panahon na yan. Pinagdasal ko na ‘Lord matapos ko lang to, pangarap ito ng Mama Bob sa akin,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Angeline is set to stage her AQUINSE- The Angeline Quinto 15th Anniversary Concert on August 22 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, marking her years in the industry following her win in Star Power.
