AJ Raval got candid and playful in a throwback post that compared her age with that of her partner's, actor Aljur Abrenica. In a Facebook post shared on January 9, AJ joined an online trend by revisiting what both of them were doing in 2007, using humor to address their 10-year age difference.
In a compilation of photos and videos, AJ opened with a sweet beach photo with Aljur, adding a caption that referenced his sentiment: “Him: I wish I had met you earlier.”
She then followed it up with a throwback photo of herself from 2007, when she was only around seven years old.

The next clip shifted the focus to Aljur’s life during the same year. Using playful audio, AJ showed that Aljur was already making his mark in the entertainment industry at the time, starring as “Red Zaido” in the GMA primetime fantasy series Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawan. This role came after he won as the “Ultimate Hunk” in the fourth season of the reality talent search StarStruck.
AJ noted that the actor was already 17 years old at that time.
She captioned the post with humor, writing, “Anong version nyo ng partner nyo? hahaha
Sorry Aljur hahaha cutie 🥹😂✌️”

In the comments section, AJ explained what prompted her to share the throwback. “I just remembered my old Zaido notebook cover and those text cards I used to have 😭,” she wrote.
Responding further to fans, the actress shared that watching the fantasy series was something she enjoyed with her siblings growing up. “ginagaya po namin sila dati na lalaban laban kami ng mgakapatid ko hahahaha,” she recalled.
The post drew reactions from netizens, many of whom joined in on the lighthearted discussion. Some commented on how Aljur’s role as a hero in the series had taken on a more personal meaning now.

Earlier this month, AJ shared a message of gratitude for Aljur. On January 1, she posted a video compilation on Instagram featuring candid moments from their relationship. The video showed the couple enjoying simple moments together, from celebrating birthdays with AJ blowing out a candle, sharing playful dance clips, posing during beach trips, going on date nights, to spending quiet time at home.
“Not everything needs explaining. Just appreciation. Thank you Aljur 💕,” AJ wrote in the caption.
It was in November 2025 when AJ revealed that she has five children, three of whom she shares with Aljur. She also shared that her second child had passed away.
The couple confirmed their relationship in 2023 amid rumors that alleged AJ's involvement in the actor’s previous relationship with his estranged wife, Kylie Padilla. Kylie later addressed the issue and cleared AJ’s name, stating that she and Aljur had already separated as early as April 2021.
Aljur shares two sons with Kylie named Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo.
