Miss Universe Philippines 2025 First Runner-Up Winwyn Marquez expressed support for Ahtisa Manalo, who will represent the country in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand on November 21.
In an exclusive PUSH ABS-CBN interview at Avignon Clinic’s Xerf AI event on October 28, Winwyn said, “She’s ready. She’s ready to get that fifth crown. I’m very, very happy for her because she’s destined to do this. She’s destined to go to Thailand. I’m just here to support her. The queens, her sisters, are here to support her talaga.”
Confident that Ahtisa has what it takes to bring home the crown, Winwyn added, “I will pray for her. We’re always there for her so any time she needs us, syempre, one call away lang sa’min.”
Meanwhile, Winwyn is currently busy juggling motherhood, her acting career, and her duties as a beauty queen.
When asked how she balances everything while keeping in tip-top shape, Winwyn said, “Honestly, there’s no such thing as balance in this life. Sometimes it’s really hard talaga, I have to admit that. But my approach is, if I have time, I do things holistically. So I watch what I eat, I work out consistently, and of course, treatments also from Avignon will actually help you from toning your body to your skin. So if you approach that holistically, I think the results will show naman.”
While taking on a kontrabida role for a television series, Winwyn also stays active in her Miss Universe Philippines engagements. She shared, “So actually, we do a lot for the brands that [are] sponsoring the Miss Universe Philippines. We also do talks. Minsan ako, I do talks for the youth as well. Nata-tap din ‘yung different schools sa amin, so more of that.”
What has been her biggest learning in this journey so far?
“Biggest learning is you really just have to open yourself up to new learnings. Lalo na sa mga mas nakakabata sa’kin. Because as young as 18 years old, they’re very open, they’re very curious to a lot of things and I love how they have that confidence in asking questions. Hindi sila natatakot and sa akin, kasi minsan di ba parang ‘should I ask this question?’ ‘Should I go on with this topic?’ But them? They just go on with their questions because they want to know. So ‘yun ‘yung learnings ko na mas maging confident ako ‘pag nagtatanong about certain topics,” she answered.
