Actress Kylie Padilla took to social media to express her appreciation for her mother, Liezl Sicangco, reflecting on how she greatly influenced her life and motherhood journey.
On Instagram, Kylie shared how becoming a mother changed her deeply, just as her own mother had experienced.
“Motherhood is what forever changed me, the sacrifice, the endless selflessness and silent resilience will forever be what I hold onto when things feel hard to navigate,” Kylie said.
Kylie also expressed admiration for how Liezl navigated her own life while raising her and her siblings, saluting all mothers who do their best to protect their children.
“Watching my own mother navigate her journey, influenced me deeply in mine. I owe her so much. To all mothers, who strive their best to be better people, who strive to be their children’s protectors despite how the world might see them I salute your strength,” she added.
Ending her post, Kylie thanked Liezl for being good and having a selfless heart.
“And to mine. I salute and love you. Thank you for your good, strong and ever selfless heart. Every day I appreciate you more in my own journey. I love you,” she stated.
Touched by her daughter’s message, Liezl replied with a sweet and humorous comment, comparing her love and strength to the Sierra Madre mountain range.
“Cheers to love and strength ❤️ I love you my super woman, like Sierra Madre hehehe 😊 Stay strong 😘💐,” Liezl said.
Fellow actress Kazel Kinouchi also chimed in, saying, “I love how you don’t wait for Mother’s Day to appreciate your mom.. and us mamas too ♥️♥️.”
Fans and netizens were equally touched by the mother-and-daughter exchange, commending their bond and strength.

Kylie’s appreciation post for her mother came shortly after AJ Raval’s revelation about having three children with Kylie’s former husband, Aljur Abrenica.

The Kapuso actress recently addressed the issue, explaining that she released a statement to put an end to online speculation.
“Ito lng po comment ko para matapos na matagal ko na pong alam pero syempre inuna po namin ang kapakanan ng mga bata. Sobrang close sila at yun pinaka importante,” she wrote.
As a fellow mother, Kylie expressed that she is proud of AJ for revealing her truth and added that she is now at peace with her own life.
In 2021, her father Robin Padilla confirmed Kylie’s separation from Aljur, three years after their 2018 wedding. The former couple share two sons, Axl Romeo and Alas Joaquin.
