Thirteen-year-old tennis sensation Maristella Torrecampo struck gold in the girls secondary singles at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa in Agusan del Sur.
Torrecampo, who represents the Bicol Region, defeated Jana Diaz of the National Capital Region, 8-7 (4), in the finals held on Thursday.

The 13-year-old has been making waves in the tennis scene, winning two golds and one silver at the ITF Asia 14-and-Under Development Championships 2026 for South, Southeast, and East Asia last February.
The Palarong Pambansa is being held in Agusan del Sur — a vision that began 33 years ago, said Governor Santiago Cane Jr.
Winners like Torrecampo will receive cash incentives, as announced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the opening ceremony via a video message.
