ANTIPOLO, Rizal — Five-man Pinoy Dota squad OG missed out on a Top 4 finish at Blast Slam V after coming up short against Team Yandex, 1-2, in the quarterfinals in Chengdu, China on Friday.

They concluded the tilt at sixth place—still a "fantastic result" for a three-week old team.

In a promising start, OG took Game 1 for itself, but Yandex managed to equalize the match at 1-1 after claiming the succeeding match, winning in just 33 minutes.

In the match that sealed their fate, all it took was a successful fight near the Roshan pit, 34 minutes into the game, as Yandex killed four of OG's heroes—three of those are cores.

Yandex found another favorable fight, dealing OG another blow at the 39:43-mark as their counterparts' gold lead ballooned to 19k, dictating the rest of the game.
