MANILA -- Philippine-based Dota 2 squad Talon Esports has tapped the services of John Anthony "Natsumi" Vargas for its upcoming conquest in the MESA Invitational 2024.
Talon announced the development Monday in a social media post.
Natsumi will be succeeding fellow Pinoy carry Eljohn "Akashi" Andales as a stand-in, joining star support player Carlo "Kuku" Palad in the team.
Talon is seeking to end the 2024 season on a high note in the $100,000 tourney--set to take place from December 10-15 in Ulaanbatar, Mongolia.
Also invited in the contest is fellow Southeast Asian squad Aurora Gaming, home of another Filipino Dota 2 prodigy, Abed "Abed" Yusop.
