MANILA — Banking on the lessons he had in his recent Southeast Asian Games stint with Gilas 3x3, newly-hailed UAAP MVP Janrey Pasaol of Far Eastern University is looking forward to a better showing come Season 89 men's basketball tournament.

Pasaol emerged as the top performer in the league after the eliminations, averaging 15.4 points, 7.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per contest.

With all of these in mind, the FEU gunner is determined to show up next season, and hopefully, tow the team to an outright Final Four berth without letting their fate be on the hands of the other schools.

They came up short this season—as it turned out, during the last day of the eliminations, the Tamaraws hoped for an Ateneo de Manila University win over De La Salle University, but the eventual finalist prevailed and clinched the Top 4 to face National University.

First round palang, pukpukan."

After missing out on a podium finish in the ongoing biennial sporting meet in Thailand, Gilas 3x3 member Pasaol hopes he could perform better against his ASEAN regional neighbors, if given the chance.
