MANILA — University of Santo Tomas remained unscathed in the UAAP Season 88 women’s basketball tournament.
The Growling Tigresses are now 3-0 after overwhelming University of the East, 99-42, on Saturday at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.
It was all Espana side, as UST already had 25 points in the opening period while holding its rival to only five markers to dictate the tone of the whole match.
“We’re happy na ‘yung game plan namin nasunod naman… At the start of the season naman, I told my team na kailangan we focus on our individual and team defense and I think we want na lahat ng opponents namin ay below their average every time we go against them,” coach Haydee Ong said.
