MANILA – Life moves on for Aby Maraño and Ara Galang, who saw their former squad, F2 Logistics, disband more than two months ago.
As they enter a new chapter in their volleyball career, Maraño and Galang said they had no issues transitioning to their new team, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
Both ex-F2 stars expressed excitement and gratitude for the young squad after their bout against Capital1 in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

"Masaya and magaan sa pakiramdam kasi madali silang pakisamahan and hindi ako nahirapan," Galang said, who starred in the match with 12 points on nine attacks, one block, and two aces.
"Excited ako everyday, every training, every game dahil sila ‘yung makakasama ko. Puro excitement din tsaka ‘yung parang ginaganahan, nakakagana maglaro kasama ang lahat," she said further.
Maraño affirmed Galang's sentiment and also had a bit of reflection as she entered the PVL court for the first time as a Crossover.
"That’s right. Ganon din 'yung feeling ko, nae-excite ako everyday sa ensayo," Maraño said.
"Tapos today, actually, bago ako pumasok sa dugout, meron akong slight na thought pumasok sa isip ko, sabi ko first time na naka-red akong papasok dito pero 'yung feeling na kasama mo 'yung Chery Tiggo at home na at home kami, kasi never kami nagkaro'n ever ng feeling na awkward o na iba kami sa kanila," she added.
Maraño also expressed confidence in taking the helm as the team's captain despite being a newcomer.
"Para sa 'kin, every time na mapupunta ako sa team na binibigyan ako ng ganitong role, ine-embrace ko siya because not everyone is given the chance or this kind of responsibility and if I am the one na nabigyan ng ganito, hindi ako para magreklamo or hindian," said the veteran player.
"So, kung ano lang 'yung ipapagawa nila coach sa 'kin, paninindigan ko 'yun and at the same time, gusto ko din talaga (and) nasa personality ko na ma-guide ko sila not just inside the court, but also in life, so 'yun naman talaga calling ko siguro and purpose ko."
