Despite the busy holiday schedule, Anne Curtis-Smith attended a block screening for her friend and It's Showtime! co-host Vice Ganda's movie, And the Breadwinner Is... The family comedy-drama movie, directed by Jun Lana, is an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, which is now on its 50th edition.
On Instagram, Anne shared a lengthy post, praising the movie and the cast. She wrote, "And the Breadwinner is.... A beautiful film of the struggles of a family when it comes to making life better one day, week, month, year at time. You can expect the light heartedness just how any Filipino family pushes through each hardship - with a smile on their face but it doesn't romantacize being a breadwinner, as it shows the toll it takes of being one... Because yes, sometimes it's just one person. "Sino ba kasi nagsabi na P#$t&ng*+a kailangan isa lang."

Anne summed up her thoughts by sharing that And the Breadwinner Is... is "a beautiful film with beautiful storytelling, beautiful cinematography and amazing acting from EVERYONE... A film for families that will give you realizations no matter which piece of the puzzle you are when it comes to your own family."
Vice Ganda, the latest cover star of Metro, declared that this is her "best movie ever." And the Breadwinner Is... is a story about Bambi Salvador, an OFW (overseas Filipino worker) in Taiwan and the breadwinner of her family, who comes home to find out the dream house she's been working hard for is nowhere near completion.
Anne also expressed how proud she is of Vice Ganda and her performance in the movie, writing, "So proud of my sisterette @praybeytbenjamin given na ung comedic timing but that one scene was delivered with so much sincerity which had me bawling my eyes out. Kitang kita nyo naman sa last slide kung paano kayo lalabas ng sinehan." She shared a zoomed-in shot of her face to show how red her eyes were from crying.

The It's Okay to Not Be Okay actress went on to congratulate the team behind And the Breadwinner Is... and encouraged all the "Madlang People" to check out the movie.
Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, Liz Uy, Georgina Wilson, Agot Isidro, and Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11's Jarren Garcia and Jasmine Dudley-Scales also attended the block screening in Power Plant Mall.
And the Breadwinner Is... is a co-production of Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company. Its cast includes Eugene Domingo, Jhong Hilario, Gladys Reyes, Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, Kokoy de Santos, Malou de Guzman, Lassy Marquez, MC Muah, Via Antonio, and Joel Torre.
