The original cast members of the movie “Bagets” expressed their approval of the musical stage adaptation of the 1984 blockbuster hit.
Among the audience members during the “Bagets the Musical” gala night were Raymond Lauchengco, Eula Valdez, Herbert Bautista, and Yayo Aguila. Cheska Iñigo, who was part of the sequel, was also present.

“It is so much fun. I think it might be more fun than the movie. It was wonderful,” Lauchengco said in an interview held in Pasay City on Thursday.
“It was so fun, yes. I enjoyed it,” Valdez added.
Theater review: ‘Bagets’ returns as a joyfully nostalgic musical
The original cast members said the musical felt like “a trip down memory lane.”
“It brings back so much memories. It is so fun to watch. The music, the characters. It makes us so nostalgic. And we are very honored,” Lauchengco said.

“Naalala ko yung friendship namin with the girls — lahat ng nangyari. Kahit nung nagdi-dinner kami, pinag-uusapan namin,” Aguila noted.
Watching the adaptation together made the experience more special for the cast.
“Happy ako! Happier now na kasama ko 'yung iba sa group. Nakakatawa makita ang reaction nila,” Aguila said. “Si Herbert, daming tanong! Happy ako i-feed sa kanila yung info. It is my second time to watch.”

The performers for the January 29 show included KD Estrada, Andres Muhlach, and Carla Guevara-Laforteza, among others.
