MANILA — Middle blocker Risa Sato, who is celebrating her birthday today, October 4, shared on Instagram that she and boyfriend Enzo Joson, a basketball player, are having a baby.
In a heartwarming post on Instagram this Saturday, the grateful Sato said this was her "best birthday yet."
"Best birthday yet! Grateful for the tiny miracle that makes my heart so full," said Sato, who last played for Chery Tiggo in the Premier Volleyball League.

In the same post, Sato was flooded by comments from fellow volleyball standouts, congratulating her for the "plot twist of the year."
"Sato!!! Plot twist of the year!!" said ex-volleyball star Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.
"Here we go 😭😭😭😭😭" said Creamline's Michele Gumabao. "eeeee happy birthday ate satoooo!!! more blessings 💗💗💗💗" Aleiah Torres commented.
A 12-time PVL champion, Sato missed action during the 2025 PVL on Tour, and was excluded by then from the team's roster, but the team eventually snagged first runner-up finish.
