Xyriel Manabat, who has previously been criticized for being "too sexy" for her age, recently became viral once more after her Instagram bio featured a link to the doctor who performed her nose surgery.
In response to the polarizing comments made by internet users over her Instagram bio, she exclusively told ABS-CBN News, “Okay lang naman. Two years ko na siyang bio. Naka-tag ‘yung clinic ng doctor ko.”
Does she find the endless internet debates over her appearance frustrating? She responded, “It’s not an issue. I’m proud of it. And I’m happy to advocate about it kasi empowering din siya sa mga tao na may insecurities. There is nothing wrong naman with making yourself more attractive.”
“If it's not a huge deal to me, I don't mind what it is to them,” she added.
The Kapamilya star, who looked snatched and confident at the premiere of her film "Near Death" opposite Charlie Dizon, expressed her happiness that young women admire her for what she believes in.
She told them, “Hangga’t kaya kong maging boses ng mga voiceless, I'll speak up for them. At ‘wag silang mahihiya to stand up [for] what’s right. At huwag nilang kalilimutan na ipaglaban kung ano ‘yung napi-feel nilang dapat nilang bosesan.”
During her exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Manabat also discussed why her acting is so honest, a quality that many viewers have noticed and have admired since her child star days.
“Wala pong masyadong workshop. Siguro ‘yun po ‘yung maganda. Raw lahat. Walang halong technical. Walang halong terms. Walang halong professional touches. Kaya po ‘yung nakikita nila [ay] natural. Galing lang po talaga siya sa totoo kong emosyon,” the “Near Death” star ended.
