News anchor Karen Davila, award-winning actress Dolly de Leon, beauty doctor to the stars Vicki Belo, and social media personality Niana Guerrero were among the Pinoy Pride Awardees at the annual Mega Ball.
On its 15th year, the Mega Ball's theme focused on the fusion between fashion and dance, that is why notable choreographers and trailblazing dancers of the country such as G-Force founder Gerocelle Dapat-Sy and National Artists for Dance Agnes Locsin and ‘Bayanihan Dance Group founder’ Alice Reyes were also included in the list of awardees.
Also joining the prestigious roster of achievers are fashion maven Heart Evangelista, head of Grab’s corporate strategy Grace Vera Cruz and founder of Miss Possibilities beauty pageant Suzy Yuzon.
“It’s always such an honor to be recognized, to be alongside with these women from different fields. We have a national artist, there’s Dolly, there’s Heart. To be with these women who have excelled and make a difference in what they do. They have shone a light into being a Filipino - globally and nationally, and they are excellent in what they do, I am always extremely grateful, and I’m really honored,” Davila said.
G-Force founder Georcelle, or fondly called Teacher Georcelle, said “I am really priviledged to be here and be recognized as a co-chair also, and I am really happy that Mega created this platform to honor Pinoy pride awardees.”
Georcelle’s dream is to teach and produce more exceptional Filipino dancers that can showcase our world class talent in dance.
