Someone, Someday,” surely knows the secret to making viewers tear up, particularly during all the warm and fuzzy scenes wherein Billy (Kathryn Bernardo) and Oliver’s (Migz Casimiro) unbreakable brother-sister bond can be witnessed with such realness.

In these five emotionally moving scenes, let’s remember the incredibly inspiring ways in which Billy and Oliver solidified their sibling connection, which began when young Billy looked after baby Oliver independently and presently involves Oliver doing his best academically to return the favor to Billy.

Billy vividly recalls her mother’s final moments

The serious nature of Oliver’s diabetic condition was made clear to viewers during the first few episodes where Oliver suddenly collapsed in his room, just hours after he had a lively conversation with Billy and Tita Precious (Dimples Romana).

Billy soldiered through her panic and immediately brought the unconscious Oliver to the hospital, where the fear she experienced reminded her of her mother’s final moments. When she was younger, despite not knowing how to drive a car, she never gave up on transporting her laboring mother, Olive (Iza Calzado), to a hospital.

At that point, Olive was completely exhausted but was able to encourage Billy to take care of baby Oliver, having no doubt that Billy was more than capable. The absence of Billy’s father (Rowell Santiago) during that traumatic time then drove Billy to decide that he had died long ago.

Returning to the present, Oliver finally regained his consciousness and then gave the worried Billy a big thumbs-up to ease her anxious heart.

Oliver’s birthday wish is about visiting their father’s grave

Given the fact that Billy abhorred their father the moment he abandoned them, Oliver grew up with the belief that their father actually passed away and was buried in another country.

While celebrating Oliver’s birthday, on the same day as the death anniversary of their mother, Oliver cheerfully expressed his wish of visiting their father’s grave, whereas Billy promptly changed the subject.

Billy and Oliver’s life at home with Tita Precious

Throughout the agony caused by the loss of their mother and having been abandoned by their father, the self-sufficient Billy worked diligently to build a comfortable life for herself and Oliver. Presently, while serving as the CEO of Love List, Billy would always be hands-on in monitoring Oliver’s overall condition every single day, accompanied by Tita Precious, whom they consider their sole parental figure.

Their daily lives are certainly full of life, especially with Tita Precious providing guidance and preparing hearty meals as well as the Love List team lending support to Billy, especially during the difficult times.

Soon after Oliver went to school, Billy told Tita Precious that every good thing they have today was once promised to them by their estranged father, yet now, it was her and Tita Precious that made it happen. Having said that, Billy kept her word not to disclose to Oliver the truth about their father.

Jordan completes Oliver’s team for family day

Billy and Tita Precious always make an effort to be present in all of the most important events in Oliver’s life, including Crestwood Academy’s family day. Despite the ongoing issues concerning the hacking incident perpetrated by Caloy (McCoy de Leon), Billy remained determined to prioritize Oliver.

Moreover, even though Jordan suffered an injury due to Caloy’s knife attack, he still showed up for Oliver, completing their family-like connection. Altogether, Billy, Oliver, Tita Precious, and Jordan, dressed in pink t-shirts, happily participated in various games until the family day successfully wrapped up.

Billy and Oliver’s uplifting conversation about college

One of the sweetest scenes so far is most likely Oliver talking excitedly regarding his plans to prepare for college, even when it’s still quite early for him. He hopes to become a student at the University of Kingsley, which is considered to be among the top schools for software engineering.

Being aware that it will be costly, Oliver also thought about applying to one of the top three colleges in the Philippines. Wanting the very best for her little brother, Billy promised to send Oliver to the prestigious University of Kingsley, while Oliver guaranteed that he’ll study hard and return the favor to Billy someday.

Continue admiring Billy and Oliver’s enduring sibling bond in “Someone, Someday,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
