In iWant original series “Miss Behave,” five female students find themselves at the center of a scandal after their private photos are circulated throughout State Omni-Standard High School (SOSH). Among those affected by the controversy is the unapologetic and sassy Nyx Rodriguez, portrayed by Xyriel Manabat.
Nyx’s personality isn’t far from Xyriel’s real-life charm. Fiercely independent and a geek at heart with a passion for robotics and innovation, she embodies qualities that Xyriel herself carries beyond the screen. Her enthusiasm and curiosity shine through, making her portrayal of Nyx even more captivating.

Unlike many stars who go by stage names, Xyriel’s screen name is identical to her real name: Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat. Much like her character Nyx, she exudes an eccentric and one-of-a-kind personality that perfectly aligns with the energy often associated with her zodiac sign, Aquarius.
Xyriel admits that she has a sweet tooth, with crepes and lava cake among her favorite treats. When it comes to colors, she gravitates toward turquoise, mint green, and aquamarine—shades that evoke the ocean’s cool and calming presence. From comfort food to comfort shows, the supernatural hit “Stranger Things” remains at the top of Xyriel’s list of favorite series.
Turning to films, she narrowed her favorites down to two: the 1998 Hollywood classic “The Parent Trap” and the 1996 Filipino fantasy film “Magic Temple.” Although she admits she isn’t much of a bookworm, Xyriel is currently hooked on “Master Your Emotions” by Thibaut Meurisse. A nature lover at heart, she finds peace in the outdoors, with the mountains serving as her go-to sanctuary.
Her interests extend beyond books and nature, as her ultimate music pick is Justin Bieber’s timeless hit “One Less Lonely Girl.” In school, Math and Science stand out as the subjects she enjoys the most.
Xyriel later shared that the facepalm emoji is her go-to reaction in messages. She also penned a heartfelt message to her future self: “You will be proud of me.”
When asked about the two things she excels at, she proudly listed being a good listener and a thoughtful conversationalist. She explained that she knows the right words to say without invalidating someone’s thoughts or feelings.
Keeping things authentic, she also revealed her life motto: “I love money, give me some,” adding that it is her playful way of speaking to the universe and manifesting her goals. For her favorite iWant Original show, Xyriel crowned her newest series, “Miss Behave.” And when asked to sketch a self-portrait, she cheerfully drew her current look—a one-sided braid with “Miss Behave” written on her shirt.
