Ever since it premiered last June 12— aptly timed with the annual commemoration of Philippine Independence Day—the supernatural workplace comedy series “Nurse the Dead” has stayed within the Top 10 of most-watched series on iWant.
Viewers have been captivated by the story of Noa Reyes, impressively portrayed by Filipina-American actress Jelynn Malone, the Pinay nurse supervisor assigned in the haunted Ward 5 of the fictional Jesus Mary Joseph Hospital of Hollywood in Los Angeles City, California who has the ability to see ghosts. Aside from former patients, her special ability allows her to interact with her beloved mom, Tess (Gigette Reyes), who passed away three years earlier after succumbing to a serious illness while she was on duty at the same hospital.
While looking after patients can definitely be challenging, exhausting, and draining, Noa finds strength in the support of her colleagues—mostly comprised by Pinoys—as their presence inspires her to continue striving to become the best nurse and team leader that she can be.

Principal photography for “Nurse the Dead” began in January 2026, with on-set filming taking place later that month and concluding by mid-February. Although their time together on the series was relatively brief, the cast and crew appeared to have formed friendships that extended beyond the production.

Lead actress Jelynn Malone became sentimental in a recent post about the series, as she reminisced on the fondest memories that she created with the entire production team—especially with Gigette Reyes and Anthony Jennings, whom she got to share plenty of scenes with as they portray Tess and Grim Reaper.
In a reel posted by Jelynn on June 16, she also revealed that she and Anthony had spent time together outside the set of Ward 5, visiting Disneyland Park in California. She captioned the post: “So grateful for the laughs, the memories, and getting to share this adventure with the one and only [Anthony].
Actress-host Ruby Rodriguez, who plays the snarky and sarcastic Pinay housekeeper Ros, uploaded a carousel of photos as well, featuring of her favorite off-camera moments. Among the snaps she shared were with their international co-stars Sydney Bollenbeck (as Nurse DonDon), Kyle Rezzarday (as Nurse George), and Pablo Azar (Janitor Atzin). She also posted a group photo of the “Nurse the Dead” team celebrating on set, describing the memories as “good times” while expressing how much she misses everyone and hopes to see them again soon.
Longtime television and movie fans who grew up watching shows from the late ‘90s to the early 2000s had the opportunity to see seasoned actress Princess Punzalan act again. She plays the gruff and media-savvy Nurse Camille, who was introduced in the series as a former child star. She may not have posted any off-cam moments with her colleagues, yet Princess shared a selfie of her that she took on the set.
Another familiar face making her return to the screen is singer-actress Tootsie Guevarra, who plays Zeny, the cunning and annoying Filipina nurse from Ward 1. Her excitement and pride in being part of this groundbreaking production were evident in the behind-the-scenes carousel she shared, which she captioned: “From serious scenes to nonstop kulitan, this set became a second home.”
She also invited her followers to catch her on the series and told them to be ready to meet her character on “Nurse the Dead,” whom she described as “sweet, mysterious, and dangerously unforgettable,” through a reel featuring the off-cam moments that she got to capture on her phone. She wrote, “Behind the scenes, long shoot nights, glam moments, and chaotic fun with the cast and production team—and I love every second of it.”
