The “Your Face Sounds Familiar” stage has witnessed countless Charlie Puth transformations, and each one took on his ballad “One Call Away.” First released in 2015 and later featured on his debut album “Nine Track Mind,” the heartfelt anthem became the go-to performance for every Charlie Puth act.

Here are the three unforgettable Charlie Puth acts on “Your Face Sounds Familiar" that captured our hearts through the years.

Marco Masa (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018)

Marco Masa moved everyone with his heartfelt performance, showcasing not only Charlie Puth’s vocal nuances but also his rhythm--even while playing the piano. Adding to the resemblance, Marco even sported brows that looked scarred, just like Charlie’s.

Judge Ogie Alcasid was quick to praise him, calling Marco a “matinee idol” after watching his performance. “Huli mo ‘yung swag,” Ogie said, while also giving tips on how Marco could further improve by being mindful of his vocal tone.

This was followed by Mentor Jed Madela who expressed his delight, “Nakinig ka sa mga tinuro namin. Charlie Puth ‘yung mukha mo talaga.” Marco’s performance left a lasting impact, not just with his voice but with the way he projected himself on screen.

Marco placed 8th at the end of the season.

Justin Alva (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017)

Justin Alva delivered a standout number that captured the judges’ hearts with the same song.

Hearing the comments, Judge Sharon Cuneta was all praises, “Galing na galing kami sa’yo tonight. I like the performance in all its simplicity.” She emphasized how she felt the sincerity in Justin’s voice, which made the performance even more touching.

Secondly, judge Ogie highlighted the strong audience impact of Justin’s number, noting that he successfully picked up Charlie Puth’s nuances. He had nothing but praises for the young star, “I think this is one of your best performances.”

Judge Gary capped it off by taking his time to appreciate Justin’s simplicity, calling the performance outstanding. “You succeeded in doing that,” he affirmed.

Justin placed 4th at the end of the season.

Akira Morishita (YFSF Season 4, 2025)

BGYO's Akira Morishita impressed the judges by channeling the American singer-songwriter in his own way, earning praise for both his vocals and stage presence.

“Ang galing-galing.” Judge Sharon noted how Akira captured Charlie Puth’s vibe so well, even jokingly dubbing him “Charlie Cute.”

Mentor Klarisse de Guzman recognized Akira’s consistency in his performances “Never mo kaming binigyan ng performance na hindi magaganda.” Meanwhile, mentor Nyoy Volante praised Akira’s vocal delivery, saying, “I was just enjoying watching you.” He also commended the effort Akira put into learning how to move like Charlie.

Judge Ogie highlighted Akira’s strong vocals and potential for growth, “Naghahanap kami lagi ng breakthrough performance from all of you, papunta ka na doon.”

From Marco's matinee idol vibes to Akira's charm, the “YFSF” stage has been filled with Charlie Puth transformations that left the judges and audience moved--and we can't wait to see more.
