Miley Cyrus has released her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, on Friday, September 18.
On Instagram, the pop star reflected on the experiences that inspired the record.
"This album happened fast but that’s been my life for 20 years. Once I started wishing to land a role that would make LA my home it’s been nonstop. This album is a reflection of everywhere I’ve been along the way and the peace that came with starting to slow it all down," she said.
Miley also thanked her supporters for joining her in celebrating the release.
"Thank you for celebrating this release with me. It’s a special record and it’s bliss to share with you. Love always," she wrote.
Coinciding the release of her new album is also the music video for the track "Let's Get Married" off the album.
Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the Bass Persuades album.
"LISTENING RIGHT NOW! I already know i’m gonna love it," one fan commented.
"Thank you for sharing your passion with us for the last 20 years! Hoping for many more to come! We love you," another fan wrote.
Miley first announced Bass Persuades on September 2, when she also explained the meaning behind the album's title.
"Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me," she posted on her Instagram page at that time.
She added: "Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album. ❤️ Miley."
Miley Cyrus drops new single ‘Bass Persuades’ ahead of album release
To further celebrate the release, Miley is set to perform two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in October.
"BASS PERSUADES live at the Hollywood Bowl. October 16th & 18th. With special guest @modelactriz," she previously announced.
"It’s been a while. The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists. I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there. ❤️ Miley," she added.
