Viu Philippines has released the trailer for the upcoming international series Kidnap Game.
Filipino actor Joel Torre joins a multinational cast led by Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi and Korean actor Lee Joon-gi.
The trailer teases a series of simultaneous kidnappings unfolding across seven cities in Asia, including Manila.
"To save the one you love, capture the mastermind," the trailer said. "Complete the mission before the others.
The trailer also features high-stakes action scenes as the characters across different cities race against time to save their loved ones.
"Your loved one has been taken. The only way to get them back? Play the game. Who will survive? kiDnap GAME, coming soon on Viu," the streaming platform posted.
Kidnap Game also stars Alice Ko from Taipei, Stanley Yau from Hong Kong, Carrie Wong from Singapore, Joel from Manila, and Praewa Narupornkamol Chaisang from Bangkok.
The Japanese cast also includes Yuki Sakurai, Sae Okazaki, Show Kasamatsu, Ryutaro Yamazaki, and Machiko Ono.
According to a previous press release from Fuji TV, Joel plays Miguel, a friendly taxi driver who has endured poverty since childhood. Determined to spare his children and grandchildren from experiencing the same hardships, he works tirelessly to provide for his family.
His life is turned upside down when his beloved grandchild is kidnapped, forcing him into the dangerous game.

Meanwhile, Kentaro stars as Toshiro Niide, an elite investigator known for his unwavering sense of justice. When his wife becomes one of the kidnapping victims, he sets out to uncover the mastermind behind the terrifying operation.
Joon-gi portrays Han Kijoo, a surgeon whose life takes a devastating turn when his visually impaired daughter is abducted. After stepping away from medicine in pursuit of a quieter life, he is forced to enter the deadly game in hopes of saving her.
Joel is currently starring in the series A Secret in Prague. He previously starred in Roja, Incognito, and Pamilya Sagrado, among other projects.
