Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee has been booked and busy with several films and international collaborations currently awaiting their release.
During his launch as a SunLife Grepa brand ambassador, Enchong told PUSH ABS-CBN that he is excited for audiences to finally see the projects he has been working on over the past several months.
“It’s so hard kasi parang mayroon akong four or five projects na hindi pa lumalabas and sobra na akong excited na lumabas siya,” Enchong said.
The actor shared that he recently wrapped up some of his projects which includes a Christmas film and an international project. He also has started a new project that will be announced next year.
“I finished a Netflix project. We did that naman ‘yung Paskong Pinoy that will air in the first week of December,” he added. “We also have a Taiwanese project. It's a collaboration between Singapore, Taiwan and the Philippines. I don't know yet kung saan siya lalabas but I’m hoping it’s gonna be around the film festival (season).”
“I'm finishing now another Netflix film but I think it's gonna be for next year,” he teased.
Speaking of working on an international project, Enchong shared his experience working on the psychological horror film The Sacrifice along with Lovi Poe, Max Collins, Pokwang, Tommy Alejandrino, director Lav Diaz and Hollywood actors Timothy Granaderos (13 Reasons Why) and Louie Chapman (Chasers).
“We finished The Sacrifice last year. I’m hoping that we can show it this year. Sobrang excited na ako,” Enchong said.
Beyond the project itself, Enchong also said how excited he was working with award-winning director Lav Diaz as a co-star as well as learning from the Hollywood actors on the set.
“It's amazing kasi parang I can joke with the Lav Diaz, that's one, but also at the same time I got to work with American actors who have a very different culture and have a very different system when they are shooting films,” Enchong expressed.

For Enchong, the experience allowed him to see how, despite coming from different backgrounds and culture, all the actors have their passion and love for acting.
“I'm so excited kasi kahit saan ka nanggaling, kapag seryoso ka sa ginagawa ninyo, pareho ‘yung professionalism, pareho ‘yung pagpapahalaga ninyo sa craftsmanship. So I’m really happy that I got to work with actors from different countries,” he stated.
Reflecting on the growing number of international collaborations involving Filipino artists, Enchong believes the country already has the talent to compete globally but needs stronger industry support.
“The Philippines has the talent. No questions. No brainer. We have the talent but we need support,” Enchong stated.
He also welcomed the decision to lower Metro Manila Film Festival ticket prices, saying the move could encourage more audiences to return to cinemas and support local films.
“I'm really happy because I just saw na MMDA just announced that the Metro Manila Film Festival will be at 299 pesos only and I was just relieved finally. That's a really big support for the film industry,” he added.
As for whether he will have an entry in this year's MMFF, Enchong remains hopeful.
“I'm hoping. Fingers crossed. I think there will be a second announcement later so I'm hoping that one of my films will be part of it,” he answered.
