MANILA – Star Cinema's "Hello, Love, Again," which stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards,, is one of seven films shortlisted as the Philippines’ official entry to the 98th Academy Awards.
On Monday, August 25, the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) released the films being considered to be the Philippines' entry to the Best International Feature Film Category at the Academy Awards.
Aside from "Hello, Love, Again," the documentary 'Food Delivery" by Baby Ruth Villarama and "Sunshine" starring Maris Racal also made it to the list.
Here are the films which made it to the list (click to read our review):
1. "Food Delivery" (dir. Baby Ruth Villarama)
2. "Green Bones" (dir. Zig Dulay)
3. "Hello, Love, Again" (dir. Cathy Garcia- Sampana)
4. "Magellan" (dir. Lav Diaz)
5. "Some Nights I Feel Like Walking" (dir. Petersen Vargas)
6. "Song of the Fireflies" (dir. King Palisoc)
7. "Sunshine" (dir. Antoinette Jadaone)
The seven titles will undergo a selection process and one film will be chosen as the country’s submission to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) which holds the Oscars.
