Lotlot de Leon had nothing but kind words for Jericho Rosales who happens to be the boyfriend of her daughter, Janine Gutierrez. In an interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda on Fast Talk, the celebrity mother shared how Jericho is “such a wonderful man.”
Jericho and Janine have been together for quite some time now. The two have been spotted recently watching the US Open.

“I love him, yes very much. He’s such a wonderful man–– napakabait na tao,” Lotlot shared.
The Kapamilya actress recalled when she met Jericho as the boyfriend of her daughter. She shared how all three of them were also in one series before–– Lavender Fields–– and she had the opportunity to bond with him during their taping in Atok, Benguet.
“I think we had dinner. I don’t really remember much but I worked with him kasi sa teleserye–– si Janine was also in the teleserye and Echo was there for Lavender Fields. Kami muna ni Echo ang magkakasama sa Atok sa Benguet. Siyempre, hindi ko naman iniisip ito pala magiging kapuso at kapamilya ng anak ko at namin,” Lotlot recalled.
“He’s been nothing but wonderful to us,” she assured.
Lotlot maintained that her daughter doesn’t need to ask permission from them to date the person she likes as she is confident about how she raised her children. She then revealed how she is also ready when the time comes that Janine will tie the knot.
“Alam mo, my daughter is of age. Hindi na rin kailangan mag paalam sa akin ni Janine. Kung ano man ang desisyon ng anak ko, I’d like to think I raised my daughter with the good heart. Hopefully, she makes the best decision for herself and I trust her very much,” she explained.
“Handa ako. Handa na ako doon, matagal na. But as I said, yung mga anak ko, wala na akong baby eh, kahit yung youngest ko si Maxine, she’s 26 already,” she added.
Just like how she treats Janine, Lotlot is confident with the rest of her children’s decision making. She also assured that she will respect the decision they make as she knows it’s what’s best for them.
Lotlot then gave a message to her daughter and reminded her to love herself while being so loving to other people.
“Alam ko na paano ka mag mahal pero wag mong kakalimutan din na mahalin ang sarili mo, lagi,” she ended.
