BINI member Stacey has quietly extended a helping hand to content creator and cancer patient Axl Ford, who is also caring for his grandfather as they both battle cancer.

On August 29, Axl shared a screenshot of a private message from Stacey on TikTok, showing the BINI member offering financial assistance for his and his grandfather’s healing journey.

“Hi! I came across your video on TikTok and I would love to help you and your lolo,” Stacey wrote, before asking for Axl’s mobile e-wallet or bank details so she could send her assistance.

“Laban lang po! God bless you always,” she added.

Touched by Stacey’s gesture, Axl immediately expressed his gratitude to the BINI member.

“Salamat po [nang] marami! Thank you so much, BINI Stacey!!!” he replied.

Axl did not disclose how much financial assistance Stacey gave him, but he made sure to share how much her simple gesture meant to him.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: “Kilala niyo ba ang BINI mga Ka-Warriors? Maraming salamat, Bini Stacey.🌸🌸 BINI_ph

Sa simpleng mensahe mo, pinaramdam mong hindi kami nag-iisa sa laban namin ni Lolo.Hindi namin makakalimutan ang kabutihang ipinakita mo.πŸ’›πŸŽ—οΈ”

The content creator has been openly documenting his and his grandfather’s journey on social media, where he has also shared how he continues to work while undergoing treatment.

His journey to becoming a content creator came after years of working hard for his family.

Axl shared in a recent television appearance that he started working as early as 16 years old, taking on jobs such as being a dishwasher as he helped provide for his family as a breadwinner.

He also joined pageants in Tarlac, worked as a photographer, and is a licensed professional teacher.

However, he eventually resigned from his teaching job after being diagnosed with leukemia as he needed to focus on his healing and oral chemotherapy.

The content creator shared that the treatment has brought side effects, including physical weakness. Still, he continued looking for ways to work by taking photographs at events to support his cancer-stricken grandfather.

Wanting not only to cover their daily needs and medication expenses, Axl eventually turned to content creation to also show that people living with cancer can continue to find strength and purpose in life.

His story has since touched many Filipinos online, with supporters regularly sending prayers and messages of encouragement for him and his grandfather.

Axl now has more than 1.1 million followers on Facebook, many of whom continue to follow their journey and hope for their recovery.

Stacey’s private gesture touched many netizens and BINI fans, with several praising the singer for helping even when she was on their BINI Signals World Tour abroad.

“Nasa world tour pa 'yan! πŸ₯Ή How can you hate this girl? Stacey has been low-key donating. Walang makakaalam kung hindi sasabihin nung mga taong natulungan niya... I wouldn't be surprised kung may mga natulungan pa siya ng hindi natin alam. She's truly a gem! 🩷,” one commented.

“Kaya mahal na mahal ko si Staku kasi napaka genuine nyang tao. Kahit sobrang kasikatan, marunong silang tumulong sa kapwa,” another wrote.

Stacey’s gesture is also in keeping with BINI’s previous moments of connecting with fans who are going through difficult times.

Last year, BINI granted the wish of young fans named Mavis, who battled brain tumor. At the time, the young Bloom made sure to attend their concert before her scheduled operation.

After learning about Mavi’s story, the BINI members personally met her, sharing laughs and hugs with the young fan during their encounter.

The members also kept in touch with Mavis after her operation through a video call, where they shared their hopes for her continued recovery.

During that time, Stacey led a healing prayer for Mavis, with the other BINI members becoming emotional during the moment.

BINI reunited with Mavis this August as she attended the BINI Signals World Tour in Brooklyn.

Another Bloom and cancer survivor, Porscha Nicolas, has likewise spoken about the impact BINI had on her journey.

After being discharged from the hospital while continuing her recovery, Porscha got the chance to meet the members personally when she attended the Grand BINIverse in 2024.

“They saved my life. Binigyan ako ng bagong will to keep going. Parang na-inspire ako to keep fighting, and, try to fulfill my purpose, in life. Bukod sa music, their performances, I think it's their hearts that really touch the lives of people. And I think even, if you take away, yung fame nila ngayon, the BINI girls are, such genuine, kind-hearted people,” she shared in an interview with Tao Po

The Nation’s Girl Group is now back home in the Philippines after spending more than a month abroad for a packed schedule that included Comic-Con appearances and stops for their Signals world tour.

As they take on a four-day break, the members said they will use the opportunity to spend quality time with their families and satisfy their cravings for Filipino comfort food to “recharge”.
