Kapuso actress and comedian Chariz Soloon denied that she will be tying the knot with her longtime partner, Vince Teotico, this year. In an interview with Boy Abunda, she shared that they haven’t made any plans for their wedding just yet.

Chariz and Vince have been together for several years already following the separation of the actress from her former husband, businessman Nestor Ng. The couple share one child together, Andreas, who they welcomed in 2020.

She maintained that they are still together despite her not wearing the engagement ring that he gave to her during the interview.

“Nagpropose na siya sa akin. Hindi ko lang suot yung singsing ngayon pero walang issue ah, nalimutan ko lang talaga. I’m proud na ‘wow may nag propose sa akin ulit’. Nakakatuwa naman na gusto niyang ibigay sayo yung buong buhay niya diba. Pero hindi talaga namin napaguusapan pa yung kasal,” she maintained.

The Kapuso star added that what comes after marriage is more important than the wedding itself as the relationship itself should continue to strengthen.

“Wag niyo ilagay lahat sa kasal. Okay na yan, nagpakasal kayo pero wag kayo mapressure na dapat sobrang bongga,” she said.

Chariz maintained that while married life isn’t perfect with its ups and down, how a person stays and keeps their commitment to their partner is what will define it.

“Ang dapat na sobrang bongga ay yung marriage–– yung after and you have to acknowledge na hindi talaga laging masaya. Yun ang totoong relasyon, yun ang totoong commitment. Minsan you will fail, minsan he will fail pero ang totoong tanong is: Would you stay after that failure? How will you fix it together?” she explained.

The Kapuso actress was previously married until they filed for annulment in 2019. It was only in 2025 that the annulment was finalized by the Court. Despite their separation, Chariz co-parents the two children she shares with her ex-husband.

In the same interview, she expressed how important it is to not let her children experience the same thing she felt when she was younger, when her parents separated as well.

“Sabi ko lahat ng hindi na nagawa sa akin, yun ang ginawa ko sa mga anak ko. Lahat ng hinahanap ko before, alam ko kung ano kailangan nila because it happened to me,” she asserted.
