New details have emerged surrounding the death of actress Hayden Panettiere.
The new information comes a day after Hayden's father, Skip Panettiere, confirmed her death in a statement shared on August 17.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her -- and to the millions who watched her onscreen."
She was 36 years old at the time of her passing.
According to the Greenville Police Department, as cited by USA Today, the Scream star was found unresponsive at an apartment complex in Greenville, South Carolina.
Police and emergency medical personnel were called to Judson Mill Lofts at around 1:51 p.m. after an acquaintance of Hayden contacted 911. Greenville Police Sgt. Jonathan Bragg said responders attempted to provide medical assistance, but Hayden was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene," Police Sgt. Bragg said.
ABC News also reported that first responders found Hayden unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. The coroner's office said responders "initiated advanced cardiac life support measures," but their efforts were unsuccessful. Hayden was ultimately "pronounced deceased at 2:32 PM."
Dispatch audio obtained by PEOPLE captured officials discussing an “overdose” and “cardiac arrest” around the time of the emergency response. However, authorities have not confirmed an overdose as Hayden's cause of death and that it remains pending as they await further investigation and additional studies.
While the circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated, police have made clear that there is currently no indication that another person was involved.
"The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances," Police Sgt. Bragg added.
Greenville County Coroner Mike Ellis also previously said that Hayden did not show any signs of trauma that "would have contributed to the death."
Hayden's death has since prompted an outpouring of tributes from fellow actors and colleagues, including Jenna Ortega, Emma Roberts, Heather Matarazzo, Viola Davis, and Brit Shaw, and others.
The actress was known for her work in Remember the Titans, Raising Helen, Ice Princess, Bring It On: All or Nothing, Nashville, and Scream, among other projects.
