Actress Matet de Leon has broken her silence anew regarding the ongoing controversy involving the estate and legacy left behind by her late mother, National Artist and Superstar Nora Aunor, sharing her frustration on their family dispute that has recently played out in public.
The tension within the de Leon family escalated after Matet’s siblings, Ian de Leon and Lotlot de Leon, exchanged sharp remarks in separate public appearances over matters related to Nora's inheritance and the management of her legacy.
Ian, the biological son of Nora and veteran actor Christopher de Leon, previously maintained that his adoptive siblings had been informed before he established the one-person corporation handling matters related to the late actress’ legacy.
Lotlot, however, strongly denied those claims and pushed back against accusations that she, along with other adoptive siblings Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth, were after their mother’s estate. She also accused Ian of lying when he claimed they had prior knowledge of the corporation’s creation, prompting Ian to later accuse Lotlot of being dishonest toward their father Christopher.
Following the public exchange between her siblings, Matet uploaded a TikTok post where she was lip-syncing to Yano’s song “Banal Na Aso, Santong Kabayo.”
While she did not directly explain whether the video was connected to the family controversy, many netizens quickly flooded the comment section, sharing opinions about the ongoing issue.
One commenter wrote, “sakin lang nmn tama na, sana maresolve privately,” seemingly urging the family to settle the matter away from public attention.
Matet, however, did not hide her frustration as she responded, explaining that while she and her siblings have chosen to remain silent, the inheritance issue continues to be discussed publicly. This has left her exhausted, especially as outsiders continue offering opinions without understanding the full situation.
“Kami ba ang g*go? O ang mga tao?” she wrote. “Nananahimik kami. Mana ng mana. Nakaka suka naaaaaaa! Wala kami ire resolve. Ayoko mag resolve. Manahimik na lang mga k*p*l na nagco comment na akala eh alam lahat. Ok na yun.”
Continuing her statement, Matet boldly wrote: “Wala akong pakialam kay ian.”
The actress also appeared to sarcastically agree with another TikTok user who implied her attitude may be the reason she allegedly was not given inheritance.
“baka kaya hindi binigyan,” the commenter wrote, which Matet replied to by saying, “ Oo nga.”
As more users continued commenting that the issue would only become more complicated if handled publicly, another netizen pointed out that being public figures means their personal lives naturally become open for public discussion.
Matet responded with apparent sarcasm, appearing to mock the lack of privacy surrounding the issue, writing: “Walang privacy privacy!!! Dapat naka labas lahat!!! 😂😂😂 lahaaaaat!!! Hahahahaha,” she wrote.
Back in May, during an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Matet clarified that she and her siblings were not necessarily fighting with Ian, but admitted there had been a misunderstanding surrounding matters related to their late mother’s estate.
“Actually hindi ko po masabing away but misunderstanding,” said Matet.
She also reacted at the time to Ian’s earlier statement that he is Nora's sole and legal heir.
“Totoo naman po. Wala namang pagdududa doon. Kumbaga kahit na hindi niya po sabihin eh understandable alam naman po ng lahat 'yan,” she said.
When asked about the Nora Aunor Foundation and Nora Aunor Enterprise, both established by Ian under a One Person Corporation, Matet said she and her siblings only learned about their existence through social media.
“Hindi po kami kasama. Nalaman na lang po namin about 'yung dalawa sa social media,” Matet maintained.

Lotlot previously echoed similar sentiments during the story conference for her upcoming film 40 Days, where she became emotional while denying Ian’s claim that the siblings were informed about the corporation.
“Enough. Enough with the lies. Enough with all of that. Tahimik ako, tahimik na si Matet, tahimik si Kiko at tahimik si Ken. Wala na kaming sinasabi, and then you go out on a TV show and then you tell everyone na sinabi mo sa amin, which is not true,” she said.
She likewise denied accusations that they were trying to claim any part of the Superstar's estate.
“Again, sa kaniya na lahat. Wala akong hinihingi. Wala kaming hinihingi. Wala akong inaagaw, walang inaagaw si Matet. He can have it all...Galit ako. Galit na galit ako.”
Ian, for his part, pushed back against statements made by Lotlot, insisting he was not the one being dishonest and telling her to stop lying to their father, Christopher.
“Enough with the lies? You stop. You stop telling lies especially to my dad,” he posted in the stories of his Facebook Page IDL Arts and Paintings.

He also stood by his statement that his siblings knew about the establishment of the corporation and even uploaded a screenshot of a Zoom call to support his statement. In his interview with Boy Abunda, Ian likewise said that he intended to be fair to his siblings with regards to their mother's inheritance.
