What was supposed to be just a simple voiceover for a spiel for Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition evolved into something bigger. It was during the first season of the collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA that the PBB host Gabbi Garcia accidentally created a meme that’s been used by thousands on social media.
It was back in April 2025 when a friend of Gabbi's uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of how she recorded her voiceover. They were just having a casual dinner when the Kapuso actress realized that she needed to record something, so she did it on the spot.
“Was casually having dinner when suddenly kailangan niya mag V.O. for PBB,” the friend wrote in the caption.
“Work life balance ftw HAHAHA mamaya na nga,” Gabbi added.
In a separate video, she was also spotted recording another spiel and using her bag to cover up the background noise as much as possible. Fans applauded her for the dedication that she puts in, despite being outside of work already.
What was just a simple video of the Kapuso star’s voiceover turned into a pop culture reference. Thousands of netizens from various social media platforms have used the sound–– the video alone has already amassed more than 9 million views as of this writing.
Gabbi became one of the first GMA artists to host the iconic reality show as the two networks continue to collaborate. Dubbed as the Kapuso It Girl ni Kuya, the actress-host proved that she’s got what it takes to co-host PBB.
She also co-hosted the second Celebrity Collab edition. Fans of the program have expressed their amazement with how the Kapuso actress has delivered her spiels each time.
Gabbi has previously expressed her gratitude for being one of the Kapuso co-hosts of the Kapamilya show.
“PBB will always be deeply personal to me, not just because of the show, but because of the people in it,” she previously shared.
