Kapamilya actor Joaquin Arce is taking fellow Kapamilya Lella Ford as his date to the Star Magical Prom happening this June 26. In a post on Star Magic's YouTube channel, the former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 housemate showed the preparations he made before asking her.
Star Magic previously held its prom last 2024, where several fresh faces showed up and dressed to impress. This year’s prom is dubbed Star Magical Prom: The Future, as shown in the teasers.

“Star Magic prom is coming up. I’ve been planning this for a while–– yung promposal ko. Siyempre, magpo-prompose ako kay Lella,” Joaquin expressed.
Joaquin planned to surprise Lella in the cinema and got some help from the latter’s friends, who happily agreed to do so. Staff from Star Magic also helped with the surprise, making sure everything was perfect for the promposal.
“Sobrang kabado ko ngayon… I’ve booked this entire cinema. Lella does not know that I booked it. Lella doesn’t know that it’s a block screening. Sa isip niya, it’s just a normal cinema. It’s just a regular move that they’re watching,” he added.
In the video, the former PBB housemate showed how he personally drew the sign to ask her out to prom. He specifically designed the sign to be a movie clapper to fit the theme of how he’s asking her out.
“Obviously movie clapper siya kasi pareho kaming actor. Inday yung nickname ko sa kanya tapos ito yung scene 1 take 1. Ibig sabihin, isa lang yung take. Sana success lahat, sana mag yes siya,” he said.

Joaquin practiced one more time to make sure he’d get everything right for the promposal.
As Lella arrived at the cinema, she was expecting a movie, but instead, was treated to a video compilation of her and Joaquin. She was visibly caught by surprise as she watched the whole thing before the Kapamilya actor came out.
As the question popped out on the screen, Lella didn’t hesitate to agree to be Joaquin’s prom date.
“Oh my God… Thank you. Yes!” Lella expressed.
Joaquin and Lella are all set to enjoy the night together as prom dates in one of the highly-anticipated events of the year.
