Kapamilya star Kaori Oinuma marked a new milestone in her collegiate journey as she recently had her pinning ceremony.
The actress is a psychology student at Philippine Women's University.
"One of the things I'm looking forward to during my college years is this pinning ceremony and finally being able to wear our OJT uniform," she posted on her Instagram page.
Reflecting on her journey, she remarked: "[I] was soooo excited for this one. Malayo pa pero malayo na din. 🤗"
Kaori also expressed her gratitude to Star Cinema executive Mico del Rosario for being present during the pinning ceremony. "Thank you, sir @micodelrosario1, for being there on one of my big days!!" she wrote.
A pinning ceremony in college is a symbolic event that signifies students' transition from academic learning to their internship phase.
Friends and fans of Kaori were quick to react to her new achievement.
"So proud of you Kao! Congratulations!!!❤️" director Mae Cruz Alviar commented.
"Congratulations! Proud of you!" another fan wrote.
Back in January, Kaori shared that she successfully completed her thesis. "Thesis had me mia (missing in action) but we're done 🥳," she wrote on her Instagram page, posting a glimpse of the thesis she worked on alongside her groupmates at Philippine Women's University.

In July 2023, Kaori shared that she had finally completed high school after a ten-year journey.
"After 10 years of finishing my high school!!! Sa dami ng nangyari, repeat after repeat after repeat, finally! This journey hasn’t been easy and I’ve eagerly awaited for this day," she posted on her Instagram page at that time. "One thing I realized, life is not a race, but embracing your own pace and defining your own success."
Kaori rose to fame after joining Pinoy Big Brother: Otso in 2018, where she was dubbed as the "The Kawaii Daughter of Japan."
In a previous interview with Karen Davila, Kaori revealed that her ultimate goal is to help her mother return to the Philippines someday, as she is currently working in Japan.
