Photo by Josh Mercado MANILA — Rita Daniela won best actress for "Madawag Ang Landas Patungong Pag-Asa" at Sinag Maynila 2025, with her special someone, Mclaude Guadaña, dubbed as a court hunk by netizens, supporting her on the sidelines.
Playfully introducing her special someone to the press, Daniela said, “Ayan siya. Nakaputi siya. Thank you, Lord, dahil after almost four years, naibigay.”
“He’s pure Filipino,” the Sinag Maynila best actress added.
While she had previously brought him to private parties such as her birthday celebration, the awards ceremony marked their first public appearance together, along with an interview.
Hard launch? She smiled and responded, “May ganoon na ba ngayon?”
“He was also there sa birthday party ko. He’s been actually really supportive. I’m actually excited for him 'coz he’s about to play sa NCAA next year,” she added.
When asked what she admires most about Guadaña, she answered: “Mahirap kasing hanapin nowadays — when it comes to dating — ‘yung respeto sa pamilya, ‘yung respeto sa boundaries. At ‘yung pagmamahal talaga namin kay Lord ay nandoon.”
In other news, Daniela also discussed her friendship with her ex-partner, the father of her child, sharing, “Co-parenting is not really easy. I’m blessed na we are friends naman. Nagagawa namin siya nang maayos.”
Meanwhile, Daniela’s date also spoke with ABS-CBN News. While he was being interviewed, Daniela was by his side.
When asked how he felt about his special someone winning best actress, Guadaña stated, “Sobrang na-appreciate ko ‘yung movie. Very good ‘yung movie. Sobrang happy ako for Rita. I know the story din behind her award. Kanina, kinakabahan siya, pero sabi ko, para sa kanya ang gabi na ito. I’m proud of her.”
“She deserves all the good things in this world,” he added.

Guadaña also expressed excitement to return to the court next year.
“Magsisimula siya (NCAA) sa October 1. Pero I’m not gonna play. Next year na,” he ended.
