Baron Geisler shared how his wife, Jamie Evangelista, became instrumental in his healing journey.
In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez for TFC's BRGY, the actor shared how Jamie became a stabilizing force in his life, especially during his journey toward sobriety and rebuilding his career.
"Si Jamie very instrumental kasi dahil sa kanya grounded ako. Pagdating sa bahay hindi ako artista. Pagdating sa bahay ano ako, father, husband," he said,
With Jamie being a psychologist, she also helps look after Baron's mental health and well-being. "'Pag may nakikita siyang behaviors na bumabalik, tinatapik niya ako, kasi psychologist 'yan si misis so nakikita niya 'yung patterns ko," he highlighted.
He further remarked that his wife helps him in every aspect of his life. "I am grateful na nandiyan siya to help me with everything. Taking care of the kids, our marriage, my life, my sobriety, and my career. And my relationship also with God," he relayed.
Jamie recently appeared in Baron's latest film The Delivery Rider, where the actor portrays Santo, a highly functional man on the autism spectrum who becomes entangled in danger after a delivery goes wrong.
In a Facebook post, Baron proudly shared a behind-the-scenes story about her participation. "Fun fact, mga kaibigan! My wife, Jamie Marie is not just a psychologist, artista na rin siya ngayon! Hahaha! Kung mapapansin niyo sa trailer ng #TheDeliveryRider, may eksena kami together and this time, may lines na siya, may dialogue pa kami! Nag-upgrade na talaga!" he wrote.
He added that Jamie took on the role out of love and in support of their shared advocacy. "She did it out of love, and also for our advocacy as AUsome parents, parents of children under the spectrum. She’s my rock, my peace, and the one who keeps me grounded in this wild industry. We're not perfect, but by God’s grace, sa eight years naming pagsasama, we’re growing stronger together. Life with our kids just keeps getting better and more meaningful every day. Thank You, Lord, for second chances, for love, and for this amazing woman who’s always by my side," he said.
